Introducing Kanpai Pandas’ Newest Core Team Member — David Nam! 🐼

We are thrilled to introduce our newest core team member, David Nam, who will lead our Kanpai Media venture! David brings 20+ years of international management experience and a proven track record in building high-performance media relations teams within various industries, such as gaming, entertainment, and sports.

He was formally at Red Bull, where he was responsible for developing and activating the marcom strategy for the entire music portfolio across events, live broadcasts, and content for Red Bull North America.

David Nam —

“I’m excited to be part of the Kanpai Pandas team and lead the marketing strategy and efforts across all of Kanpai Collectives properties with my 20+ years of marketing experience in the tech, entertainment, and culture space and bring the Kanpai movement to the masses.

Kanpai Pandas Combines all of the foundational elements I’m very passionate about and reflects myself personally and professionally across Music, Sports, Combat Sports, Arts, Technology, Apparel, and Live Experiences. Wrapping all of these elements under a Web3 framework while leveraging the Web2 ecosystem is truly the 2.0 of these playgrounds — and that, coupled with working alongside such a passionate group of individuals and leaders at Kanpai Pandas, is what excites me the most about being part of the organization from the ground up.”

David was among the first 15 employees at Last.fm in London UK as the head of product communications and marketing, which CBS Interactive acquired for $280 million.

David Nam

On a personal note, David was a former boxer (@IceBagz vs. David?) with a deep love and respect for the combat sports industry. He is a DJ, music producer, and (*fun fact*), is also fluent in three languages (tweet your guesses to him — the first one to get it right gets 3,000 PP).

David fits the Kanpai Panda mold perfectly. Foremost, he’s passionate about the Pandas and has been part of our community since day one. His vast decades of experience show that he is tenured and lives the Panda culture. Within his first three days with the Pandas, David launched the pilot episode of the Overdogs Podcast with top-tier guests, some of the best MMA fighters in the world (Sean Strickland, Mike Perry, and Bo Nickal)!

Collectively, not only was the Overdogs pilot episode featured to over 1.5 million followers of the guests’ respective social media channels, but will also be featured and spread amongst different media outlets.

We’re stoked to have launched and streamed the pilot episode on Kick, which is also available on YouTube and Spotify (as seen above). Stay tuned as we continue showing off David’s talent and hard work!
